We have a ge model # JGP933SEK2SSgas cooktop. Today I removed a control knob to wipe up a spill and all four igniter electrodes started to click and won't stop. I turned off the power and am igniting the burners manually.any suggestions? Thx
You have moisture buildup in the switch,
you can blow dry it to dry it out.
or the contacts in the switch or switches are connected together.
or grease build up.
you have to open , take apart the cooktop to test to figure out which switches are bad., you can do this by unplugging each switch and testing it.
be causes.
once you figure out the bad switch or switches, you can order new parts, or drill open old switch to clean out and fix the switch for re use.
basically,
1, clean mositure
2. clean contact points
3. test to see if the switch works, by turning the wheel and check contact points.
4. crazy glue back.
5. put back and use.
