Re: Gallery washing machine door latch stuck in lock...
I have the same problem with my Gallery. I can not open it at all. I have tried unpluging it and putting it through another cycle to see if it will open. No such luck. Any suggestions?

My door latch happened to be stuck in the lock position - which blocked the path of the latch on the door.
I was able to make my way to the inside of the latch assembly and figured out how to release the latch so that it was in the unlock position by firmly depressing the metal plate and pushing the latch up into the assembly. (The metal plate is difficult to depress due to the heavy-duty spring, but it can be done.)
After releasing the latch to the unlock position, I re-assembled it.
I connected the wiring harness and hung it in the bracket.
Beyond that, I didn't see anything loose, so I re-installed it.
Grounding in a 120vac environment usually will cause a big spark and pop the circuit breaker. There is a possibility the latch is like a car door latch. If it somehow gets moved to the shut or latched position when the car door is open, it will never close and latch . The latch must be returned to it's normal door open position so that when closed it will latch securely.
Your machine's latch may be blocked by something acting like the car door latch described above. It may be the switch has broken and is the "culprit".
The lock/latch on your door is electromechanical, incorporating a electrical safety catch. See if a reboot (unplug for 10 minutes, then plug it back in.) does anything for you. It could be a latch, wiring, motherboard, door closed safety circuit or something in the pause circuit.
Slide a thin knife from 3 o clock door position against the frame to push the locking latch pin towards your left, only about a centimeter and the door would then release
The first thing to try is to hold the cancel button for 15 seconds. The more labor intensive solution is this: Remove the panel beneath the door (2 or 3 screws). Reach up, there is a
little "ring" beneath the door lock. Pull this down, it releases the
mechanism.
