PS2 My PS2 plays games but not movies.Please help.

Your laser is probably on its way out -- as a laser starts to fail, it will first stop reading PS2 games (but will read some DVD movies OK). It will then stop reading DVD movies and only play CDs. Finally, it will not read anything at all. You can find a new laser, based on your PS2's model number, at the following website:

please hold red power button for 4 seconds when u are playing the dvd movie. and put the game switch on the ps2

Mine did the same thing "ps2 Glitch" The dvd player goes bad in them and the system will never again play dvd's just game's "get worn out" is what the company told me. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE WARRENTY Fustrating But I have 2 that only play game's and one that still is holding out. SRY time to buy another one

its the new psp it never plays originals only originals with upgrades

sounds like it bumped the laser alignment out of wack do a google search for ps2 slim laser alignment howto and it should bring up the steps you need

Do you get any errors when you try to play PS3 games?

might want to check the parnet settings on the system

what kind of mod chip brand was installed

try cleaning the disks
