My TV all of a sudden turned white and grey.

First, try to play DVD on your tv to determine if the problem is on TV itself. If the TV looks fine on DVD you have cable box connection problem if not you have faulty t-con board not bulb etc.

T-con is the responsible for colors and image graphics.

My Xbox 360 shows a grey screen, the sound works fine and i do have picture

Hey dude, I had this problem and found a solution on another website. Basically, I had either changed the display settings on my tv, or it had done it by itself or my new ps3 had done it or whatever, but to fix it I went into the TV menu, went to display options, on my tv it has something entitled 'Colour system' I changed that to PAL-60 and I now have colour, just to give you an idea of whether you have the same problem, try setting your x-box display to pal-50 and see if that shows colour (if it's easier to do), if it does then try then solution above! Hope it helps!

My tv has a green screen but sound comes out, then when i change the input to play my ps3 the picture is fine. how do i fix it so i can watch cable

It may be the sequence in which you are powering on the TV and cable box. Try different combinations. HDMI is a flaky standard and compatibility with cable boxes seems to be more and more of a problem these days. If this does not correct the problem, switch your cable box connection over to component (Green, Blue, Red,.. White, Red). Your won’t have the problem with this type of hook up. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.

White/Grey screen with non-HD channels

I removed the HDMI cable and connected with component video and rca audio. No more white screen.

Picture quality looks good. I don't know if it's as good as HDMI, but then I don't need to reboot the TV three times to get to teh on-demand menu... Grrrrr....

I am trying to contact Toshiba on this as well. I have seen several reports of this problem on the web.

My picture is a bunch of horizontal grey lines up

First, try unplugging the AV cable and hooking it back up. If that doesn't work then your graphics might be going out, which is another one of the 360s more common problems. If you still have your warranty, then you can send it in and they'll fix it free of charge, but if not you'll have to pay. There are also tutorials online that show how to fix different problems if you have the technical know-how.

Suddenly no sound & no picture overnight: is my TV dead?

If you have static siugnal, sure TV is not dead.

Check the aerial cable, ensure it is well plugged in and getting signal.

If you are using a receiver box, check cables to TV and receiver (freeview, sat, cable etc.), try setting channels on receiver again, if it does not work but you get static, then either the cables or receiver are defective.

Test the TV on standalone , connecting it to an external antenna.
Tune again the channels, and save the preset.
If still no signal then the antenna socket on the TV may be defective.

Try using the TV with a DVD.

If you can watch DVDs, and TV is not keeping channels preset, and you tried all the above, at this point htere may be a fault in the tuner card inside tv.

Call the phone number listed on tv user manual to get support, and eventually repair it.

Picture is fine, but the sound won't work

Are the yellow, red & white cables RCA phono plugs?

Yellow = Video
Red = Right Audio
White = Left Audio (mono)

The red, blue & green cables are for picture only and don't include sound. Have you tried using the red, blue & green for the picture and using the other cable, red & white for just the sound? Don't use the yellow.

Good luck!
