I work the lever to load one BB. then pump 6 or 7 times. BB will not shoot out. When I pull the trigger, it sounds like it is shooting, but no BB comes out. this is for a crosman 760 pumpmaster. it is not listed in product search.

If you are using the type of .177 pellet which has a skirt to hold it in the loading end,

it is possible that the air pump piston has a leak which slowly pushes the pellet out before you can shoot. The piston seal is sometimes oiled leather which can dry out, or rubber which can wear.

Let's start out with the manual:

It states, "NOTE: Never pump more than 10 times. Over pumping
will cause serious damage to the gun."

So, have you made a habit of pumping it more then 10 times per shot?

It goes on to state, "To maintain top shooting performance, lightly oil the three pumping lever hinges and the foam wiper on the piston every
1,000 shots"

Rather then the lever hinges, I'm more onto the piston's foam wiper, as this might help the piston seal better.

It could also be a "cup seal", or "valve '0-rings'"
These help the piston seal also.

If your pumping the rifle and you hear air seeping out then the seal on your air chamber is bad or got pushed from where it is suppose to be, you can take it apart and see, its real simple...

Worn trigger and or worn firing valve. Remove the trigger and look for wear on contact surfaces (worn pin that holds trigger, worn inner lever inside trigger, worn or loose firing pin in valve ). Easy test for worn trigger. Remove the nails, remove trigger, fire the gun against wood with finger to test for proper action. If it works better without trigger, consider replacing trigger with new (I would also order the oring repair kit that includes the firing valve )

Are you pumping the gun??? Once you have bb's in the gun you have to **** it and then pump the foregrip 10 times then pull the trigger.......

bazthespazz i would like that file you said, just bought the daisy buck 400 and got jammed arround the first 20 shots nd i want to repair it but its hard to remove the piece of the trigger

TRY PUTTING A LITTLE OIL ON THE SEAL ON THE PUMP LEVER . OPEN THE PUMP HANDLE COMPLETLY YOU SHOULD SEE A SEAL THATS WHAT YOU OIL.

1) **** the gun and look through the hole in the top, half way down the barrel.

2) You should see a BB loaded into this area.
- if no bb is present and you can see a circular magnet, then it is not loading.

3) if the bb is present and does not exit the barrel when you fire the gun, then the bb is deformed and will require the rifle to be dissasembled and rodded through the back side, forcing the bad bb out of the way.

4) If no bb or magnet is present through the hole, call daisy for a replacement. This indicates the shot tube has moved and will no longer load.
