Sony Bravia KLV-32U300A 32 in. HD-Ready LCD TV Logo
Posted on May 22, 2010

Power Tripping? I have a Sony Bravia KLV32V300A, which I leave connected to the wall power socket and on standby. when I try to turn it on, the indicator turns from red to green and then suddenly turns completely off. I have to take out the power plug and wait for 15-20 minutes before the TV will turn on again. How can I rectify this problem?

The red standby light flashes in the code of 4 times then pauses then 4 times then pauses.

Over voltage protection function is turned ON. Just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so and check. If it do not help you, the main power regulator board should be checked and replaced. If you wish to get more details about blinking codes to Sony brand TVs, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by type in the model name to your set in its search box, or view it in Mosaic /Timeslide option.

I have a Sony Bravia LCD tv an it won't turn on at all the standby light is not even there I've tried turning on an off and leaving unplugged for an hour still nothing.? Help,

You either have a problem with your power supply board or main board. I would start with having the power supply fuse checked as well as the power supply board!

TV DOES NOT TURN ON STANDBY RED LIGHT STAYS ON

Hi Friend,
Check your TV's remote battries. If they are good, then, power off the TV at the main wall socket and unplug the power cord, leave it for 5 minutes. Now, connect back the main power cord, hold the Power On/Standby button on your TV and power then turn ON main switch on the wall. This should resolve your issue.

Thanks,
Shiva

My lcd stay on standby and wont turn on

Remove the power cord from the wall for five minutes which resets your TV, then plug in the power and try to start the TV.

We understand that your problem is: Very thanks for your solution.i did the job according to you. i replace the bulged capacitor in power supply with the same value that is 330 mf/ 450v. it is ok for the...

The power supply board have more problems and beyond the capacitor u replaced. There are dozen of components could have short or open gaps to amps voltages, currents and coldsolders joints.U have to have alots testing equipments and experience to trouble's shoots to find the exact cause to procise to that component. For get that, tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

My Sony Bravia will play for less than a minute and then reverts to standy. Any suggestions?

Please unplug tv from wall socket for minute or so,, replug back in and turn it On.
If tv still goes to standby itself than its standby light would blink to show an error in somewhere inside tv circuits.
Let me know how many times standby red light blinking? There would be 3 seconds long pause in blinking so count pause to pause to determine problem section.
Thanks.

SONY BRAVIA KDL-40s4100 is not working right

Please check whether the connections are secured between the TV and the connected devices.

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

Try connecting the TV to a different wall outlet and check if that helps.

Please connect a different device to the TV and check whether the issue persists.

If the issue still persists service of the TV is determined.

Sony bravia-flashing red light

I would guess your power supply board is slowly disintegrating. It is hard to tell what it is, until it finishes frying itself out. Plan on replacing the power board soon, 1-3 months maybe.

Sony Bravia LCD TV is tripping the fuse in the house

These things draw a huge surge current when turned on. What size fuse are you blowing? These things can surge 10-12 amps on turn-on. What about a fuse with a reset button. They will take alittle more surge before they go. Don't matter about the insignia working before because the cheaper sets tend to stay powered up more when off....thus not surging on from a dead start. Could you try a different plug on a different circuit/fuse? and see if that makes a difference. If you have a 15 amp fuse, then your pretty close with other stuff plugged in. What size is your service? Do you still have an original 60 amp box with screw in fuses? Is it an old house?
