Connect iPod and computer.
Go to "Music" > "Sync Music" > "selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres". In the "Playlists" section, choose "Recently added".

Go to apple.com, click on the iTunes button in the bar. Then click download itunes on the upper right side. Enter you email if you want updates or news, if you don't uncheck the boxes.
Install after download.
After you have installed it open iTunes and plug in your ipod. It should recognize the device and you can start putting movies and music on it.
Putting music on you PC is easy with iTunes insert the music disc, download and drag and drop into you ipod. Or if its already on your computer just drag and drop the music files into the Library in iTunes.

Open itunes plug your ipod into your computer then make a new music folder and put all the songs you want on it in the folder then click your ipod on itunes and click the folder you put the songs on and it will sync the songs to your ipod. Same for movies, apps, pictures, etc

You cannot use the iPod touch with Windows Media Player, you can only use the iPod touch with iTunes. You need to download iTunes and when you install iTunes make sure it is set to automatically search your computer for music. iTunes will find all of your Windows Media Player songs, convert them for use on the iPod and then you can synchronize your iPod with the iTunes software.
