When i start my tomtomgo 910 it starts and then turns it's self off again

Well i am writing this wile I am trying this out...
I have a TomTom Go 910 that has a RED CROSS FLASHING on the bottom corner, what I have found is that if you have backed up your TomTom Go i maybe able to reset the TomTom Go on my computer but if you havent you may have to find on try finding one on google but i have a TomTom Go 910 you can download the 910 on http://rapiddigger.com/download/backup-go-910-rar-9110176/.

after you found the back-up you can connect your TomTom Go to your computer using the USB provided from your TomTom Go, replace the doggie file with the new one, then this should change it back to the FIRST update given...

(WARNING >> PLEASE scan the file befor you put it in your TomTom Go it might contain a very very evil virus<< WARNING)

If your device is not starting up properly, follow the steps below:

1. Soft reset your device.
   
   
2. If your device still does not start up, then reinstall the TomTom application using HOME.

start tomtom home if it does not start automaticlly when you turn on your tomtom and connect it to your computer..if you dont have tomtom home, you can get it HERE.

if its still not connecting try another usb cable although im not sure in that one disconnects from the home dock on the 910

( i assume your using the home dock because thats the only way a 910 will hook up to a computer)

If you have an SD card in try removing that before you power up.
　
You may also want to try the hard reset.
Paper clip in the tiny hole by the card slot.
　
Push it in firmly whilst the unit is powered up (not too hard) for about 3 seconds then release
You may have to power down and then up again and even hold down the power button a little longer the first time you do this

You can change the way your TomTom looks and behaves.

1. Tap Change preferences in the Main Menu.

2. Show ALL Menu options

Tap this button in the Preferences menu, to show all the buttons available on your TomTomGO.

NOTE: When you first start using your TomTomGO, all the buttons are shown in the menu. The buttons for the more advanced features can be hidden. This is a useful option because you are unlikely to use certain features very often.

When you need to use the buttons that are hidden, you can press Show ALL menu options in the Preferences menu to show all buttons.

Mike sounds like an IC glich which is send it back kinda problem if you send it back and they can't fix it they usely send you a NEW one

Have you tried a reset?

interal battery maybe

Scrap it andd buy a Sony 92

Try pressing the reset button, check your documentation for the location...but it's at the connection interface.
