Well here is your resolution for your problem.

As you saying that when you insert any CD or DVD in Player its shows NO DISK.

Well Sometime what happen is if a CD contains are not compatible with Player than it wont work with it.

Or if you had burn that CD or DVD from your personal computer or laptop but it is not burn in proper format than also it wont work in PLAYER.

Well even if CD or DVD is having any scratches on it or it is Used uncounted enumerable times than also sometimes this things happen and it wont work in PLAYER.

Well before Inserting any CD or DVD in Player Just check the above mentioned points.

If everything is ok with the CD or DVD but than also its shows the same problem than get the CD or DVD cleaner liquid spray or even you can use Spirit to clean the CD or DVD and than Insert it.

After doing all this but if its shows no result in it than go to the company dealer and ask him to change the head of the player and you wont face this problem afterward for sure.

if you still have nay quarries regarding the same or any other you may reply me.

Marantz CD5004 tray keeps opening problem

CD/DVD players use a protocol;
Open tray. Insert disk. Tray switch tells mechacon that the tray is shut. Attempt to focus on disk.
If focus is acheived, then it will spin up and try to read the disk otherwise it will ask for a readable disk.
If the tray keeps opening, I would suspect the tray detect switch is malfunctioning, maybe the drive belt has stretched.

Hello, Julie -

1. I hope you checked the user manual for your DVD player to determine if your problem is in the list of troubleshooting issues.

2. Check if the disk you put into the DVD player is compatible to play in your machine. Did you try to play a Blu-Ray disk in the DVD player? If so, trying to play a non-compatible disk will result in in the No Disk or Error message.

3. Make sure the compatible disk is inserted into the player tray with the readable side of the disk facing downward.

Best wishes.

Download updated software for free on Panasonic Website then take a Paper Clip or other small object and insert it in the small hole in front of the machine and manually open the Disk tray. The Updates should take care of the Problem !

The disktray automaticly opens and closed several times. When I put a cd in de tray the tray closed and opend without playing

Hi, when a disk tray automatically opens and closed several time, might be from the disk tray itself is jambed that's why it opening and closes by itself. You can open up the player and check if any thing in hooking it.

Also it might need to be replaced, the wheels inside the DVD player might be too weak to move in and out without moving automatically.

The way i see it, you might end up replacing the disk tray with a new one..

Have a nice day.

My CD tray closes before I insert disk

check the micro switches on the cd mechanism. these can go wrong sometimes. it's obviously not sending a message to the micro chip that the tray is open therefor it will close again automatically.

The player only intermittently recognizes CDs inserted; it does not seem to make any difference whether they are commercial, recorded at home, etc. Sometimes it says "insert disk," sometimes "no disk." ...

A CD tray is usually powered by a rubber strap, the belt can slip through, causing the electronics to miss the input timing, including a microswitch or copper contact which is activated at the closed disc tray so that the laser is focussed to read the table of contents Due to the fact that the spindle motor is activated. And in some players (interchanges there is also a selects witch that can be contaminated. a suggestion to help in the link

Cannot Close Sony DVP-NC665P 5 disk tray

There is a possiblity that he may have shifted the unit while discs were in it causing the discs to slip off the tray and into the unit. You have to open the unit to check if there are loose discs.
