Mcdevito 75 here, Most likely there are 2 positions in the stem (crown assembly) pull the stem out very carefully to it"s first position this should allow you to change the DATE either turning the crown toward you or away from you, once you get to the proper DATE, pull the stem out to it:s 2nd position, spin the hands until you get the proper day. Regards, Mike D 75

mcdevito75 Here, Update, Pull the stem out to set the day First,------ then push in the stem and very carefully pull the stem out to it"s first position, this should allow you to change the Date (Number) by either turuning the stem toward you or away from you. Set the day first, every second time you reach the 12" O"clock the day will change. Then push in the stem, then carefilly pull out the stem, I use my finger nail just ubder the stem, pull it out to it"s first notch, (Position) and change the Date (Number) that should do it.

How do I set a Danbury pocket watch with date display

If it is this pocket watch, then the crown (the bit you turn to wind the watch) has 3 positions. Position 1 is when the crown is pushed in all the way. Position 3 is when the crown is pulled out as far as it will go. In between position 1 and position 3 is a place where the crown will stop, this is position 2.
To set the day of the week, pull the crown out to position 3 to set the time. When you set the time, the bottom dial with also turn to set the hour on the 24 hour clock, if you turn the crown enough to cycle through a whole day the day of the week dial will also turn. Keep turning the crown until the time is set on the proper day of the week.
To set the date, pull the crown out to position 2, and turn it clockwise until the hand on the date dial points to the correct date.
Hope this helps!

I have a new chronograph Michele watch. How do I change the day of the week without changing the date?

As per the instruction PDF that I just read, the day of the week only changes with each 24 hour rotation. Therefore to change it, you might pull the crown out all the way and wind it through every hour in each day until it advances to the day you want. Then set the correct time. Push the crown in one notch to the second position and wind the dates forward until it stops on the one you want. It doesn't appear that going backwards for either the time (for day of the week) or date works.

How is the day of the week changed in a TIMEX Traditional analog watch. Pulling the stem out half way and rotating will only change the date. Rotating the time through multiple 24 hour periods will work,...

Setting the date is covered in the instructions which you can get instructions from the Timex web site "timex.com".

At the bottom of the screen click on "manuals/downloads", then on "product
manual download"

Enter your watch type in the search box and click on "search"

Change the day of the week

Most watches have a stem that you pull out to set the time. The little knob on the end of the stem is called a crown. For a day/date watch, there are two clicks. The first click when you pull out the stem is the day / date setting, the second click sets the time.

When you are on the first click, twisting the crown one direction changes the day of the week; twisting the other direction changes the date. If yours has only the date, it could be either direction depending on the manufacturer.

Can't seem to get AM & PM set properly

Had Pulsar analog watch. Couldn't set either day or date properly due to being unable to signify AM or PM. When days changed one or the other would be 12 hours off.
""googled" adjusting Pulsar watches" and found site which explained how. You set day of week and date to previous day and date and then move watch time ahead until day and date are correct. Then set watch time. Seems to work.
