Hotpoint WF250 - clothes largely dry and covered in powder

Hi

Our Hotpoint WF250 has been a problem recently.

Our clothers are harldy getting wet - they're coming out only partly wet and with washing powder and fabric conditioner on them.

Sometimes It makes a sound that reminds me of a siren

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks

    Works wonders now !

    thanks guys !

Plug off the wall. Close your inlet valves behind machine, disconnect inlet hoses & clean the small screens well, the screen on the machine too. Now check to see if the water is coming in a good flow from the faucet, without connecting the hoses; if flow is good reconnect hoses. Open behind, you will see a thin tube coming from the timer side to the bottom filter; disconnect from top and blow into it, air should flow, if not unblock and refit carefully from where you disconnected. Before pushing machine back to the wall, check to see if the exit hose is a correct height, that is about 3 feet from ground level before it goes into the wall standpipe.
Start your machine, try to peep into dispenser or put ear near to see if water is flowing into the dispenser. If you still have problems change your inlet valve, you can do it yourself, only see that the connections are correct..

Check to make sure the water inlet filter is not clogged with debris.
turn off water and disconnect at washer , look in opening is filter screen clear, some are removable to clean others you have to brush etc....
there are two more places to check but they are inside the washer at the water control solenoid and the inlet , the water pressure sensor may have something to do with this issue.
best to open the top and listen and watch. (3 screws in rear top)

tip

Allways clean your filter on your washer

by cleaning your pump filter at leased once a month will make your washer perform better and last longer. it will stop problems accuring such as (door will not open ) (the machine will not spin on final spin ) (wet cloths) (un even loads) (dirty cloths) (smell & mould ) another good tip is dry off the rubber door seal after use and sprinkle a little talk powder on it this will stop it staining with mould.

Hotpoint WD63 not spinning correctly

Two things to check.
Remove rear cover.
Remove large black hose onto drum
Remove and clean filter inside hose.

Next--remove top cover and check the brushes in the motor, if they are less than 3 or 4 mm long, then replace them.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.
