I downloaded my latest firmware for r4i sdhc v1.10c and it stops between the loading and says load rom errorcode 1.First i turn my ds lite on,tap r4i,go to my game, and it loads only a tiny bit until it...

Hi Hami,

You may well be using a fake R4i card, and you probably updated the software on your Nintendo DS and now it won't read it. This is normal for most clone cards since they can't actually be updated to use Nintendo's latest firmware.

The real R4i card has manufacturers website www.r4i-sdhc.com, NOWHERE ELSE. Check yours to see if it is this website. If it isn't, and you need a genuine one in the US/Canada, use DSCardWorld.com who are a preferred seller of the authentic ones. They also list NDS-Gear.com but I think they mainly do UK/European orders.

Good luck! Please upvote my answer if I've been helpful :-) Sorry about the possible bad news! :-(

Will read blank dvds but will not read prerecorded dvds or burn onto blank dvds. I have upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7, I keep getting a firmware error.

download this program
http://www.freecodecs.net/fc/ImgBurn_2.5.5.0.zip

install it and run it
its a disc copying software but the reason i am saying to download it is that it will update your firmware for you

click write file to disc, then click on tools then move to drive then go to the last option on the new menu that says Check for Firmware Updates, click ok then click on the numbers listed below version( pick the one that is the latest) this will download the firmware file. extract the files from the downloaded zip and open the installer allow it to finish then click finish or exit. then restart your pc. Now try your dvd

Have purchased Terminator Salvation and 2012 on bluray, both Sony discs, they load and go to menu screen, however the icons to allow you to play or scene select etc do not appear, menu just plays over and...

Most likely you need to 'flash' (update) your BDP-S300's firmware. I had the same issue while trying to play AVTR in my BDP-S300. I downloaded Sony's latest firmware update, burned it to disc and popped the disc into the player... It takes 5-10 minutes for the 'flashing' to take place. AVTR now works in my player... Had to do this with one other Blu-ray movie about 18 months ago also.

Download the latest firmware version for the BDP-S300 here...

Follow the instructions to the letter!

Movie 2012 BluRay loads menu but won't play on Sony BluRay player

Sony releases new firmware for the bdp-s350 ever so often to let it play newer movies. The last one can be downloaded from here firmware. Be sure to contact Sony with any problems so they can work on it for the next firmware. They are pretty good about updates as long as we let them know of any problems we are having.

If you are continuing to have problems let me know by sending me a message in the comments and I will go from there. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Take it easy and hope I helped.

You need the firmware update. You need to download it from here...
http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads/SoftwareDownloads.aspx
and save it to a usb flash drive that is between 1-2 gigs in storage with no other files saved on to it. insert the flash drive into your blu ray player and select " software update" from the settings menu.

Samsung bd-p1200 won't play new "quantum of solace"

I too had this problem with Qauntum of Solace, I could get past the teasers and the warnings but when it gets to the main menu I select PLAY and it just stops at 00:00. The firmware upgrade fixed it! However I had to make a CD because the LAN method said I already had the latest version. I downloaded Ver 2.5 from Samsung support site - ( http://pages.samsung.com/us/bluraysupport/support.html)
Then I needed to get Nero Burning ROM software (windows version) to burn an IMAGE of the .ISO file (I use a Mac and just burning the file onto a CD didn't work) You have to follow these instructions to the letter - ( http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=us&CttFileID=1488556&CDCttType=FM&ModelType=C&ModelName=BD-P1200&VPath=FM/200710/20071012103832890_BD-P1200_CD_Update_Process.pdf )
Finally the player recognized the firmware and did the upgrade to 081119_T22F_0924.07_XAA
Voila, QoS now plays without a hitch.

Blu-ray disc will not play

I had exactly the same problem, and here's what fixed it:

(1): Download and burn the latest firmware (version 4.50) from Sony: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?upd_id=4320&mdl=BDPS300

Follow their procedure carefully. For example, do NOT burn it to a CD-RW, only a CD-R. The downloaded file is an ISO file that you can burn with Nero Burning ROM's "burn image" menu item as well as a wide variety of freeware tools.

(2): AFTER the firmware has been updated, perform the normal reset procedure: Power it on, press the front panel STOP button (the square icon) and press the power button at the same time.

Viola!

My Sansa Kepps Telling Me I Have Bad Tracks

Some DRM-encrypted files have a fixed time limit for how long you can use/play a song. after the time period has lapsed, they will show up as "Error - File Format..." (this is only one possibility)

Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx
