My Asko T700 dryer, ever since I have had it, has not done a good job of drying clothes. A serviceman said there was nothing wrong with it, that "...that was the 'European way'"... Clothes were to come out dampi. After reading complaints about Asko dryers on the Web I think he just did not know how to fix it.
A handy-man friend looked at it and found that the heat is working but it appears that the drum is rotating too fast as the centrifugal force keeps the clothes against the drum...they don't tumble. He suggested possibly a smaller drive pulley would correct the problem but admits he's just guessing.
The heat works, the filter is clean, the exhaust and vent is clean; I've used smaller loads; I've increased the spin cycle on my washer; all to no avail.
Could he be right? It seems that Asko would have corrected such an obvious problem before putting the dryer on the market.

I'm having a similar problem with very long dry times. The unit seems to be heating properly, but may not be coming to full temp. what is the typical exhaust temp when the unit is in high heat? I have replaced the temp sensors in the back of the machine near the heating coil, but there are also two sensors in the front just downstream of the fan. Could these be goign bad and not allowing the machine to high temp?
