Did you mean install audio device driver? It depends on the manufacturer of your pc. Go to their website, and usually they have available free downloadable audio drivers for the corresponding Operating systems used by their customers.

Just insert your audio device and if it was detected by the computer. The device will prompt just read and follow the instruction from the dialogue box on your computer screen. After all, try to check your audio device if it is worked. And if did not worked just check the device at the My Computer if they can appear or just check it to the device manager by Right Clicking the My Computer, click Properties, click Hardware, then Device Manager and see that your audio device will also appear.. If did not appear at all you just take the driver for that audio device to install it in your computer.

I have installed window xp in my hp 520 laptopbut sound driver is failing to installi hav tried it many times but in vainit was working in previous xp window i do'nt know what to do?

You have not install the drivers correctly.

Since your model audio is HD, you have to install the XP update first ie "Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp33867)", before installing the device sound drivers "Conexant CX20549-12 Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows XP".

You can download the dtivers HERE

Lenovo 3000 C200 soound system not working can not listen the audio, today I installed the windows xp hence the audio system is not working.

If the pre-installed operating system is not windows xp and you just upgraded/downgraded to XP, you have to download the drivers for your audio device. You can download the drivers at: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/driversdownloads/drivers.html

once you're at the website, type the serial number of your computer and hit search. scroll down to see the audio categories and select the driver for you audio device that is compatible with windows xp

No audio on my newly installed xp software

If you can see an error in device manager its means the audio driver is not installed. You need to installed the audio driver. The audio driver is in the CD installer of your motherboard.

I install window xp. now audio is not working

Hi,
In all likelyhood, the audio driver is not installed.
Check your drivers by going to your device manager and look for devices which have a yellow dot next to them. You will find device manager by right clicking "my computer" and choosing "properties". If you find a yellow dot next to your audio card, go to the Acer web site at: www.acer.com and select your product from the drop down lists.
