Sounds like you have a power supply that is starting to fail, or your backlights are starting to fail. Hopefully it is just your power supply, as this can be fixed.

Hi, I recently bought a 47" LCD LG the latest model and I read that you had purchased it previously and I wanted to know how you found the quality of picture on the LCD? At the moment ours is a bit blurry. I hope it was worth buying. Do you think we just need to tune the picture quality?
If this TV is a 25"...then this is an older set. Is the picture dim and the colors dim, will the tint not correct the color scheme? Zenith picture tubes, as a rule, for this model go bad...sorry but this is true!
Replaced bulb for zenith e44w46 lcd but the orange light is still on how can I reset the bulb timer on my own without throwing down another 85.00 for a repair guy to reset my T.V.
i hava a Zenith Model # E44W46LCD telivision. There is a light blue line about an inch or 2 wide running across the bottom of the screen. The TV is about 4 years old. It doesn't get a lot of play probably less than 10 hours a week. can you help me
Its your light engine failing. It can cause different colored "spots or ovals" to appear in the black background.
My Zenith ( now LG ) E44W46 LCD had the engine replaced after only 10 months, and now 3 years later it is failing again. There is a lawsuit against LG for using defective engine assemblies in this particular model.
After much searching I located this number, 800.243.0000 and called from work this past Monday at 8:15 a.m. central time. I was blown away to actually have someone pick up and direct me to a rep who reassured me that LG was aware and has set up a department to handle claims.
I was issued a case number and told that I will be contacted by a rep from this "department" and they would replace the set. With what I don't know yet but I will post back after I get thier final answer and the details.
