Printing to bizhub c252 from one computer a problem
Hello, we have a bizhub c252 on standard tcp/ip connection for 15 users with no problem. All of a sudden one computer, when printing a one page document sends hundreds of the same document as different job numbers to bizhub.
I have deleted and reinstalled drivers, printer and ports. Took system to another internet connection and still got the same problem.
Any ideas?????
Thanks

check the network setting and we will go from there,
utility(Hard key)- 3)Administrator settings- (passwords is : 12345678) 5)network settings 1)TCP/IP settings
You might need to reset the login and password to be able to print to that printer, especially if the previous SysAdmin had set up the BizHub to require a login and password to print.
To get to the network settings: Press the Utility/Counter key, select Administrator Settings, enter 12345678 as the password, then select network settings. You will find all the settings for networking the machine there. The print drivers can be downloaded from Konica's web site: kmbs.konicaminolta.us
User manuals can be found there as well.
Either set a static IP for the printer or attach your computer directly using USB.
Setup the printer on your computer using the driver for the printer. If the printer has Postscript capabilities the PS driver is better than the PCL driver.
If the printer is USB setup like any other printer, if the printer is IP then specify a local port in the Wizard and type the IP.
Choose the driver and install
Afterwards go under properties and select the printer components such as duplexer, extra trays, etc.
To setup LPR Printing, perform the following: For Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003: 1. For Windows 2000, click the [Start] button, point to Settings, and then click Printers. 2. For Windows XP/Server 2003, click the [Start] button, and then click Printers and Faxes. 3. Right-click the icon of the installed printer, and then click Properties. 4. On the Ports tab, click the [Add Port] button. 5. In the Available Printer Ports list, select Standard TCP/IP Port, and then click the [New Port] button. 6. When the Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port Wizard starts up, click the [Next] button. 7. In the Name of printer or IP address box, enter the IP address for this machine, and then click the [Next] button. 8. Select Custom, and then click the [Settings] button. 9. Select LPR, enter Print in the Queue Name box, and then click the [OK] button. 10. Click the [Next] button, and then click the [Finish] button to apply the setting.
Can you print to your PC? if yes you know how to assign ip address to the copier. I suggest is to go web browser and type the ip adress of the copier. log in to adminstrator the password 12345678 click network scan you have choices which scanning you want. SMB, ftp scan to email. If choose SMB first you have create Folder to your desktop and name it SMB all upper case and right click sharing and permit everyone . Then back to copier web browser click tab scan and type all the names you want. Scan to e-mail you have to click network and enable the scan to email enter the SMTP leave the port 25 do not change assign a valid email address to copier and enter email address of the administrator user id and the last is the pasword. Note: everytime you visit this page you should enter the password. then click the scn tab and enter all your email address. enjoyprograming!!!
firqst: DHCP disabled copier IP adress should be 192.168.x.y IP Pc must be 192.168.x .z (169.254.xx.xxx is a bad address!! = No-IP address !!) see my recommendation for the scan on a previous post (http://www.fixya.com/support/t1395654-konica_c252_scanning_address_book_job)
You will need to go to the printers folder under Start, settings, & select the C252, right click on it, select properties & go to the 'Option' tab.
In here input the C252's IP address into the 'printer name or IP address' field and select gather option information.
Once done you will need to apply the settings and ok.
If you dont know the IP address you can get it by going into Utility, user settings, print reports, config page.
You should now be able to select the correct trays without errors.
with scan to Email on this machine you need a mail server that is local
with ftp scanning you need IIS running on either XP Pro or server OS
SMB Scanning can be done but only if you are using an eithernet connection
which one of these do you want do to do
