Main circuit board faulty

LG error code SE LG washing machines displaying error code SE are indicating a "motor fault" although the technical information also says it could be a main PCB fault. They recommend to, "try the motor first". It's vague and not too helpful, especially for a DIY repairer so you really need an engineer to try and sort this one. You can't possibly justify "trying the motor first" if you interpret that as buying and fitting a new motor, they are very expensive. You need to at least know how to test a motor for faults and check its connections and carbon brushes (if fitted) if you want to try and diagnose the cause

Not sure which washing machine you have. But assuming it is an LG SE is a serious fault.
Motor fault detected Can also be caused by be main PCB
This is not a good fault code to see as it will generally be correct and either the washing machine drive motor or the main electronic control PCB is faulty.

• Check motor
• Check motor tacho
• Check all connections and blocks to the motor
• Check connections on the main control module
• Check main control module

The water pump can be a source of a leak.

oh dear, code SE indicates a motor fault could be expensive.

I have the EXACT same problem wit the LG 8015C. After numerous attempts, I finally found the problem. A set of wires attached to the drum body vibrates against th erear panel, wears off the plastic insulation, shorts and blows the circuit board. All because of sloppy workmanship ! It took 4 years of easy work for this to occur. Will NEVER buy an LG or Front Loader again

Here are error codes/:

OE= PUMP BLOCKED OR WATER NOT PUMPING OUT ( LOOK FOR PROBLEM IN THE PUMP IMPELLER )

IE = NO WATER INTO APPLIANCE CHECK WATER TAPS ECT

DE = DOOR OPEN OR NOT LOCKED

UE = IMBALANCED LOAD

SE = NORMALLY MOTOR FAULT BUT COULD ALSO BE MAIN PCB FIRST CHOICE IS CHANGE MOTOR.

CE = CURRENT ERROR SHORT CIRCUIT TO MOTOR OR MAIN PCB DUFF

LE = LOCK ERROR BASICLY WIRING TO THE DOOR LOCK IS FAULTY

FE = TO MUCH WATER IN TUB

TE = TEMPRATURE ERROR NORMALLY THERMISISTER OR ELEMENT FAULT

PE = PRESSURE SWITCH FAULT

you need to change the senser of your machine...

I suggest u buy another washing machine. This one's had it!
