Standby light blinks for 6 times

My SONY KDF-55WF655  standby light blinks when you turn the tv on. The green blinks for 5 times then the red blinks for six times. What do you think could be causing this? And how much would it cost to get repaired?

    my problem is a similar problem, but my tv doesn't turn on I have the sony kdf-55wf655, I was told to unplug it and then turn it back on, that didn't fix the problem.

Did you get this solved yet? Six blinks usuall meand thermal fuse. I can look it up if you still need help.

    Sorry everyone acording to the service literature 6 red blinks is the G1 power supply board not putting out 6volts for the KDF55WF655 not the fuse

I had the same problem, but with a blue screen. I found this site, followed the directions, and my tv is better than before.

    Yeah, many of the people commenting on the site listed couldn't get there tv to turn on either.

Problem for Sony Grand WEGA KDF-55WF655. Hello,
5 times Red LED blinks means Lamp Driver Error. (KDF-55WF655)
2 possible reasons, either Lamp is gone or Ballast Supply got bad.
Replace lamp first, in most cases it solved the problem.
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?

Always buy Sony original lamp for safety of your TV.

Most Sony 6-blink codes for projection TVs follow this pattern:
6 times, Diagnosis: LOW B OCP/OVP (Overcurrent/over voltage). Possible causes: +5 line is overloaded. (A, B boards), +5 line is shorted. (A, B boards). Symptoms of the problem: No picture.
