Your Go Gear uses one lithium polymer battery and has an 800mAH battery. That should have a full charge in less than three hours. If it doesn't charge by then your battery has worn out and needs to be replaced.

My philips go gear 4GB wont turn on even though it is charged
There is a small hole on the side of the player through which you need to use a small office pin to reset. press it for some 5 secs and release. the playerr would have hung up earlier and is now reset. you can now switch it on. Hope this clears. Good day

you can try one step if that doesnt work contact MFG ... remove the battery and disconnect the power adoptor and hold down the power button for 10 seconds and than connect everything back and try charging it
