Be sure to check the white separation pad under the second roller - a known wear item. If that is OK, you probably have a sensor switch problem

I am not sure how to get to the feed and seperation rollers/pads in this doc feeder. But if you can access them even a small amount you might try using alcohol solution to clean them up and or a green scott bright scartching pad to ruff the surface up a bit to give them grip and to help clean them off some. might even use a little simple green on the pad to help clean them off thena paper town to dry the rest off. this could buy you some time till you can get a new set of rollers to have put into it

Cannon imageclass d660 auto feed stopping 3/4 way through

There are some small plastic pieces in this feed that can do this. This is an older machine, the whole top feeder can be replaced for $150.00 Its $100.00 dealer cost. And they will want an hours labor.

If that doesnt sound good I would buy a new machine.

Hi I have a Canon PIXMA MP950 printer , purchased on Dec. 6/05. Yesterday I had paper jams inside the machine. It fed the paper from the cassette, but got stopped on rollers in rear cover area. I can...

It is fixed, I think. My husband worked on it today and had a look inside the printer with a flashlight. He found a plastic tack had dropped in the rear of the printer, down in the rollers! So he fished it out & we seem to be up & running!

Thank You! Joann Gabriel

Not feeding

Have you still getting the problem, have you done cleaning of Cartridge, its nozzle and Contact strip.. then cleaning of Printer roller or carriage rack.. Do a Service of it or get it done by Technician.

Also check the feeder tray.. to grab paper one by one by printer.. Manually

Take all updates for printer and OS.

If the machine sees the ADF ( auto document feeder) but does not feed the paper? Does it try to feed the paper? Does it pull the paper is a little and jam? If the machine sees the ADF and it starts to feed the paper but jams --- clean the feed rollers/ tires with rubber restorer or a high alcohol base cleaner. Also a mylar could be pulled into the paper path blocking the feeding of the paper. Take a thin piece of cardboard ( like the devider in a case of pop) and slide the cardboard about 3- 6 inches into the feed just past the feed roller. Gently pull back out and try to feed paper again. If those do not work and the machine does see the ADF, you may need switch, sensor, actuator or feed motor.

Automatic Paper feed

Check the feeder roller inside the printer for any foreign substance stuck to the roller, this may cause it not to grip properly. You can also try a few sheets at a time and make sure the paper tray is gripping the paper, but not too hard. If this fails, the roller may be out of place somewhat, try to reposition it. Let me know how you get on.
