Cannot open door and lock light stays on

if it.s the inner door lock catch, that attached to the front door handle
yes it can be replaced, take photo and model number of machine
order from washing machine repair shop. or download manual from malefactors site for correct part number, ,or if you need a repair engineer ring for a quote first, how much will it cost to replace my hoover inner front door catch, good luck

probly the door interlocks at fault

sounds like the door lock mechanism. if this cannot signal it has engaged, to the board, no other function will work (you don't want the washer going with the door open, trust me :) )

1) test the switch door, you do not have error code.
see the video, and replace for defective switch, or loose wires or broken, or burn.

Your door lock/latch is broken, this is a common issue with front loading washing machines and the only way to fix it is to replace the door switch.

try pushing the door really hard if it opens check the door seal is on properly sometimes they pull off when removing clothes they can get trapped in hinges

it may be a stuck cycle. try to unplug it for 20-30 min and try again.

Thanks for using FixYa. The start and pre-wash usually flash due to a clogged drain hose or the water pump. You’ll need to drain the water out of the base and also check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine). If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Either clip on the door is faulty or its the door interlock in which the door locks into easily replaced by undoing the clip pullling back the door rubber and replacing ..
