I have a haier televison that is showing a blue LOCK symbol or Icon in the bottom left hand corner and I can't figure out how to remove it?
You have activated the parental lock password. If you do not know the password do the following:
Keep pressing "Menu" button on the Front Panel, at the same time press "Mute" button on remote control, it will enter into
Factory Mode.
Search for the parental lock menu.
In this way you will not need a password to enter Parental
Control Menu, So you can reset password.Reset password and restart tv.
The above reset works on all Haier HTF model, if you have a differen model check Haier's troubleshooting page, you will find the right procedure for your model
Note: You will need the original remote to perform the procedure on my previous post.
Before performing the reset procedure try also the default parental lock password. If they work set parental lock to off or reset password,. They are:
0 0 0 0
or
9 4 4 3

That means The child lock has been activated.
I'll let you know if there is any solution for that.
Usually your original remote would have a button / sequence to unlock
the mode. If you still have your original remote, look for a child lock
button or refer to your remote manual (and/or TV manual for the child
lock feature) to unlock the mode.
You can also try unpluging all the power cords from back for 4hrs and then plug them back and see if this wolves the problem.
These were the only possible solutions if you still face the problem then you will have to contact Haier and get the lock removed.
