GE Top Load washing machine not draining

My Ge washing machine is not draining after the rinse cycle. After the water goes in for rinse the machine makes a humming clicking sound and the water doesn't drain but it will go to the spin cycle. What should I do to fix it? Thanks, Jill

Possible there is fault in the program controller unit Also check the water level sensor before the rinse will work.

Water will not shut off in washing machine

Check to load size selector switch, sounds like tube came off of it. The tube goes from switch to bottom of tube, tells machine what size load and when to turn off water.

GE Top Load Washing Machine -- Agitator will not cycle

Agitator's don't spin on wash cycle.

I would suggest washing the clothes without soap until they rinse clear. If you have hard water, the soap will not easily rinse out of clothes, or off of you when you use soap to wash or shower.

Reduce the amount of soap you use in each wash if this is the case. It sounds like your washing machine is working right.

Stopped mid wash cycle,no drain,no spin, will not go to next cycl

water pump blocked with nylon stuffing from old pillow.removed front panel from hinges under the lid. water pump at the right hand corner removed hose then removed 2 cups of nylon threads and stuffing forced into pumps small openings where it was compacted to a solid mass.

GE Washer top-load WLDSR416FOWC

Actually, I think I do remember having one do this before, and I believe on these GE models the spin cycle goes through the water level switch, so if your water level switch is sticking, then it won't spin, thinking its still full of water.

Here's the water level pressure switch for your model:
