You must use Genuine Xerox supplies from Xerox, especially if you are on a lease and supplies deal. You slip a refilled or 'compatible' replacement toner from 'The Toner Guys', the machine locks you out until reset by a Xerox tech.
and although it is a different model, it is the same series
Turns out the WorkCentre 3615 has two types of toners - None Metered 106TO2722 and Metered 106RO2724. Both toner boxes say WorkCentre 3615. You must order the correct one or you will get this error and the machine won't work at all. Who knew? Xerox admitted they sent us the wrong one, so they are offering to fix with a code over the phone.
From experience, I wouldn't do it...
The different series usually have slightly different toner composition, so you may find that your copier will be majorly over-toned or under-toned. by doing that.
I personally wouldn't risk it, and I have been in the industry 24 years...
There is no need to worry a lot what you can do is that, just open the toner access door located at the front of the printer and then you can scroll down the list of cartridges until you find the one which is giving you the message of Replacing toner.
Then press the button "1" to reset the display toner settings. If still you find any of the difficulties then we have a best place available which can actually sort out your issue and they are Micro Toner Supplies and their official website is where you can find a lot of things is https://www.microtonersupplies.com.au/toner/xerox-toner-cartridges
Basically these guys(Xerox Toner Cartridges) are famous for supplying cartridges at a specific cost and to your mentioned area but in this site there is a contact option available where you can contact them and can solve you issue. Hope this may work to you and if still you find any difficult even after accessing the prescribed website then there are many other websites where you can find better solutions.
When copier has printed about 18,000 pages the J2 drum cartridge light will come on. The unit will print about another 1,000 pages before the unit stops working until the drum cartridge is replaced.
that is the message for low or out of toner. What you are doing by tapping it is just lostening the reemaining ink in the cartridge. If the cartridge is new, have it replaced where ever you purchased it because most likely its defective.
