Dell lattitude d620 won't factory restore ?

Hi,

Please go through the below step, you can able to do it.

1) Shut down the Dell Latitude D620 if it's currently powered on. Click "Start" in the left-hand corner of the screen to access Windows' shut down options. Alternatively, press and hold the Latitude's power button, located on the top edge of the laptop's keyboard.

2) Turn on the computer by pressing the laptop's power button.

3) Press and hold "F8" on the top of the laptop's keyboard immediately after turning the computer on. If the Windows logo appears on the screen, you're too late and must repeat Steps 1 through 3 again. If you pressed it in time, a list of text options will appear on the screen.

4) Use your keyboard's arrow keys to scroll down to "Repair Your Computer." Push the "Enter" key on your keyboard.

5) Choose a language from the next list and select "Next." If you've password-protected your laptop, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password at this time.

6) Press "Dell Factory Image Restore." A new window will appear. Click "Next" and select the option for reformatting the hard drive and restoring the factory condition of the laptop.

Why is my Dell Latitude D620 laptop screen turning white?

You'll have to live with it. It's taken damage, it's not repairable, it's only replaceable. My Latitude screen was replaced after only 2 1/2 years.

Dell Latitude D620, Black Screen/Power On

It is the backlight! That laptop uses a fluorescent lamp. It is bad.
If you look carefully at the screen, you will see the Windows desktop (or whatebver you are running). It just needs to be lit up.... from the back. Tel them to replace the LCd screen or replace the lamp.

Hope this helps!

Dell Latitude D620 When I open my laptop the screen will not come back on. I have to turn it off and turn it back on to get the screen to work.

Sounds like it's going into a sleep/standby mode. Check your manual for the correct key/key sequence to restore it to full operation.

Dell Latitude D620 Gray Screen

I don't know about that particular laptop but it sounds like a loose connection between mainboard and screen plus a bad inverter (regulates and supplies voltage to the actual screen from the main power source). Laptops typically have the inverter hidden somewhere in the frame that surrounds the actual lcd screen. Sometimes this regulator is part of a small circuit board, sometimes it is not (I suppose it might be part of the actual lcd in some cases, but i've never seen that). I would investigate things further in that direction and just hope your lcd itself isnt bad.
