I read Oshie's description of a problem found for this oven in that the bottom oven was not working. He stated that the proper main terminal jumper should be 'L'1-2-3 and 'N' 4-5. The display oven I recently purchased was jumper on delivery the same as this. Unfortunately, this unit did not include a schematic that showed wiring variants [ for US ] showing a proper 4-wire cable harness connection [ two dual phase 110V, 1 Neutral, 1 Ground] to the terminal. When my electrician went to install the unit, he was bothered by the live jumpers that would tie the two US 110V dual phase hot wires together in this factory jumpered configuration and would not make the connection. Gaggenau was no help in getting the proper wiring diagrams. Is the jumper configuration 1-2-3 tied for a European single phase 220 V application? If so, for the US 4 wire configuration, what would the terminal block to 4 wire cable harness wiring interface be?
Thank you in advance for your help in this matter,

Here's what the manual has:
8.2 How to do it
The appliance must only be connected by an
authorised specialist, paying attention to the
relevant regulations of the power supply companies
and the regional construction regulations.
The electrician is responsible for the correct
functioning of the appliance at the time of installation.
He must instruct the user on how to operate
the appliance correctly on the basis of the
Operating Instructions, and the user must be
instructed on how to disconnect the appliance
in an emergency.
We accept no liability for damage caused by failure
to comply with these instructions.
If it is not possible to disconnect the appliance
from the mains via an easily accessible plug and
permanent cable connection, an isolating switch
with a contact clearance of at least 3 mm must be
fitted on the installation side.
Repairs carried out improperly may involve
substantial risks for you.
Connection to the power mains
On the top of the appliance there is a cover that
has to be unscrewed. The wiring diagram stuck
onto the top of the appliance shows the connection
variant.
For 230 V / Connection with 3 N/400 V:
The oven is connected in three phases, i.e. L1, L2,
L3 and N. The power mains to which the oven is to
be connected is fused with 20 A in each phase.
For 230 V / Connection with 1 N:
The oven is connected in one phase, i.e. L1 and N.
The power mains to which the oven is to be
connected is fused with 40 A in each phase.
The appliance must be earthed.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for
damages that might arise from improper or nonexistent
earthing of the appliance.
Screw the cover back on.
So the European single phase is L1 and N (4-5).
According to Gaggenayu these are the only two supported power supply connection methods. If I were you I would look into getting a 3 phase line put into your kitchen to be safe.

If its brand new, most possibly the electrician did not bridge the mains connection.
It sounds like an installation fault.
There is usually a jumper between 1-2-3 on the L connection on the mains, and a jumper between 4-5 on the N connection.

As stated in my problem ...this jumper configuration is a problem for United States 4-wire connections. what is the proper wire diagram with 2 110 live wires, a neutral and a ground wire to this terminal
Is there anyone else that has an idea of how the US 4-wire cable harness should be wired to the Gaggenau EB294 double oven terminal block:
that is L1,L2,N, and Gnd on cable to #1-6 on the internal oven terminal block. Or could get access and pass on the wiring diagram for this oven?
I had accessed this manual before...it includes no wiring diagrams for how to hardwire this oven[ mine did NOT already come with a cable connection to the inner terminal block in the top of the unit ] to the household 4-wire connections. This connection is what I am trying to determine...especially since the terminal block comes strangely jumpered as I described with the 1-2-3 on the Mains 'L'.
how to wire standard US 220 to terminal block
