Image on LCD jumps

I switch on camera and while viewing on LCD, image flickers and jumps, gets horizontal lines across and changes colour (pinkish, or greenish/black parts) I have a canon A95 digital camera. All of a sudden the LCD screen in Shooting mode is displaying coloured horizontal lines pink / greenish and these lines are flickering. The LCD shows the picture perfectly in view mode.I need help to get rid of this problem.

I have the same problem, but worse. The LCD is just noise like the screen of a TV set tuned to a black channel.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Image has lines and pink in colour

This maybe two problems, the pink color hue in the picture and lines from lens shutter problems. Your LCD is still good. You have to replace motherboard and lens.

Pinkish screen and green blurred picture

Sounds like the image sensor is malfunctioning (common symptoms: distorted images with purple or green cast, completely dark images, flickering lines across the screen.)

Image on LCD jumps

I hope you will be pleased to hear that you'r eprobably eligilble for a free repair from sony. This is a known problem that many companies had with the CCD sensors inside the digicams, they finaly accepted resposibility one by one(sony being the last I think, 2 years after they stopped using the faulty CCD). Get yours fixed through here(the american site): http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?mdl=DSCV1&news_id=118 or if they don't ship to europe, you can try the uk site- http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowArticle.action?section=en_GB_Support&articlesection=1&article=1128075116465&site=odw_en_GB or try one of the other countries listed here, and search for "important notice", or the equivalent in the local language on the box to the left: http://www.sony-europe.com/staticcontent/hub/hubpage_odw_en_EU_support.html?referer=http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/ Good luck

LCD screen 'flicker'

Try setting the video output option to NTSC (if it's on PAL). I know this sounds funny, but I have heard some rumblings about this option somehow creating a LCD flicker. If it doesn't work, I apologize in advance for wasting your time! My camera is on NTSC and I haven't seen any flicker on the file numbers on the LCD.
