Hello, it’s never a great sign when the machine powers up but the belt doesn’t turn over. best case scenario is it has blown a fuse on the lower control board. With the motor cover off and using a torch you should be able to locate the fuse (about 15mm long) on the lower board, a blown fuse will look broken or blackened. If the fuse looks ok then it’s very possible the damage is coming from the lower board and will need replacing. Quite often this will have a burning smell. Oh, another idea. Is your safety key in?
The washer drain the water if you put on spin. all electronically controlled washer won't unlock the door and or spin if there's water inside the water has to be drained out first. If the basket didn't move(no motor movement) and it finished the cycle, POSSIBLE problem is the motor control board.

If the tub still moves but it's just not spinning that fast (and the water is draining out), then that means your motor control board has just started to fail and it will need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue. If you pull the washer out and remove the back panel, there is a control board mounted to the floor under the tub. This is the motor control board and it will need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue.
Communication between the main board and the motor control board is not
being sent correctly. This could be a bad main board, motor control
board or motor itself. The testing can get pretty involved. Try putting
the machine in a self test mode and see if the error clears. Press
Cancell, then by pressing the drain spin button once on the left side
then move to the spin speed button the the right. Press this button
until no-spin lights. Press the prewash button 4 times. C00 should
appear in the display. Let it run it's tests, there will be 8 of them
and end up on C08.
If this doesn't work, it's best you wait for the
service tech.
Check the power. If your Kenmore washing machine does not operate at all, you may need to replace defective or blown fuses or reset a tripped circuit breaker. This is done by moving the lever to the "Off" position and back to "On."
Examine the lid switch to see if it is defective. A malfunctioning switch can prevent the machine from operating or spinning. The switch can be found on the inside close to the door frame. Some models also have a special "lid-switch" fuse close by the lid switch within the control panel. A blown fuse will not allow the washer to fill with water.
Unclog the drain line if the machine is spinning but not pumping out water. If the problem still isn't fixed, the pump may need replacing.
Look for a broken pump belt or frozen water pump pulley if the machine does not spin or pump water. Test the pulley by disengaging it from the appliance and physically turning it. It should rotate freely.
Determine if the motor coupler or belts are broken, which could prevent the washer from spinning. Failure to spin also could be the result of a worn clutch, a malfunctioning drive motor, an improperly shifting transmission or a worn or "seized" spin bearing or basket drive. These problems also could keep a washing machine from agitating.
Find the source of a leak by checking the washer's air gap, inlet spout and rubber tube. Replace any items that are cracked, worn, deformed or disengaged.
Test the motor coupler, water-inlet valves and the drain hoses if your clothes are wet following the spin cycle. Replace these parts as needed.
if the pump is making noise the thermal limiter is ok, there is no fuse as such, most likely the motor speed control circuit board has burned out, it is a known defect in this washer.
Hello there The LR error on your non-spinning Maytag Neptune is usually, though
not always, accompanied either by a burn spot or a blown fuse on the
Motor Control Board.

Either way, it means just one thang: a new motor and motor control board kit are in your future.
Check out your motor control board near the floor on the right side. These have a high failure rate on the Neptunes. Maytag redesigned both the motor and motor control board to be more reliable. While inspecting this board, you are looking for a blown 10 amp fuse and /or burnt components. If you have either... then you will need the the new motor conversion kit which includes the motor, motor control board and the wire harness.
Don't forget to see the info on the website regarding the defective door latch wax motor that will eventually fail and damage your machine control board.
