There are probably six wires coming out of your air handler blower motor. There are 2 brown wires which are capacitor wires, one white wire which is neutral, and probably red, black, and blue. Look behind the door of the air handler to see the wiring diagram. They should have the color coded speeds marked on the diagram. There is probably some sort of control board that the blower speed taps plug into. By changing these wires around on these taps you can adjust the speed of the blower motor.

My air handler fan does not come on, the outside unit turns on fine. Is their a way to reset the fan?

Check for fan operation by turning the fan control at the thermostat to "on". If the fan blows, it works. If not, check a circuit breaker or fuse.

If the fan blows when forcing it on with the thermostat but not in automatic, check the fan control circuit in the air handler. Danger: high voltage, beware! There should be a system wiring diagram inside the air handler somewhere.

Temp in my home will not drop below 81 degrees

Air Handlers differ in the way they adjust there variable speeds. Carrier you just plug into a pin. Trane has dip switches with directions on the fan housing. Before you try to adjust please kill power to air handler. Varriable speed are very sensative to voltage. If I new your air handler brand I could help. But just check the wiring diagram and they may ahve dirrections on there for setting speed. Need more help call back Rus

How you speed up a fan on a rheem air handler to blow more air in my house

You can change the size of the pulleys. Either increase the fan pulley size or lower the motor pulley size. Don't go more than 1 inch at a time. You will also have to change the length of the belt. The motor runs at 1725 rpm's.

Rheem Air Handler will not run. This is a 2006 Rheem model RHLA-HM3617JA Air Handler. I replaced both the condenser and air handler circuit boards. I replaced the motor in the air handler.. The condenser...

Have you hard wired your fan motor to verify that the motor and or the capacitor are good? If you do a continuity test of the motor leads(with electricity off of course) you can see if the motor has open or grounded windings.
