The C743 works with MMC and SD cards, not with SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible. You need to go with cards 2GB and smaller.

No. The C743 works with SD cards. A 4GB card is actually an SDHC (the HC stands for High Capacity) and will not work in an SD device. You'll have to stay with SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Your camera is not SDHC compatible. It will only support standard SD cards. Sorry.
