Need to purchase a new door gasket for a W C Woods freezer V15NAB. What is the best source? Is a new gasket difficult to install?

Woods are no longer in business and all parts are obsolete.

So, you can either buy a door gasket by the size of the one you have, or you can make one by buying a length or door gasket material and cutting 90' notches in the 4 corners and filling / gluing the corners with white silicone.

Or if the gasket is just split, you can clean thoroughly and repair with silicone. Fill the void, close the door, and clean up excess.

You might try contacting the vendor's web site for wherever it was purchased. Similar Woods Freezer model parts are available of the searspartsdirect.com web site for a different model:

On a chest freezer, frost always accumulates around the top perimeter first because the warmer moist air comes in contact with that area first once the door is opened. More frequent defrosting may be the answer.

The old gasket just pulls directly out from its slot in the door. Start about 3" away from a corner, then pull the corner out; the rest is easy. Soak the new gasket in warm water before fitting; it softens the edge and makes it easier to push in.

I would suggest you check with a local appliance parts warehouse. They will also have a service manual that you can purchase that will guide you.
