Most washing machines have a pump filter to protect the pump from obstructions such as coins. The pump filter should be at the front of the washing machine at the bottom left or right. It should be obvious (a square or round flap) but sometimes the filter is hidden behind the front kickstrip panel. A good washing machine filter should have retractable pipe at the side so that you can drain the water into a bowl. In any event, please go to this link above, this is all explained again, and there is even more direct information you need to know, the list is large.

How to clean the air filter of an NE router?

Wash your HEPA filter with warm water and allow it to dry if your model specifically states that water cleaning is safe. You can also soak your filter in hot water if it is extremely dirty. Clean non-washable, permanent HEPA filters using a vacuum to remove dust and debris.

How do you clean filters

What filters are you cleaning. If it's electrostatic air filters, these can be soaked in a plastic tub full of warm water and a small amount of dish soap. I also use about a half cup of bleach per 5 gallons water. Soak for 5-10 mins then rinse with water hose. Allow them to completely dry before reinstalling. If you are cleaning a washable air filter, clean with you water hose, spraying the direction opposite the normal air flow. Should be a arrow showing wash direction. Not sure of what you want to clean but I hope this helps.

How do I clean the filter on the Novotronic W 310 Miele washing machine

Cleaning the fluff filter and pump
Check the fluff filter initially after 3 - 4 washes to ascertain how often it is likely to require cleaning. With normal cleaning approx. 2 litres of water run out.

If the drain outlet is clogged, more water will be retained in the machine (up to 25 litres).

Caution: if laundry has been washed at a high temperature,
water draining out of the machine will still be hot!

Take the (yellow) filter flap opener from behind the detergent drawer facia panel. Open the flap.

Place a dish under the drain fixture. Turn the fluff filter lid round 2 - 3
times. Do not take it right out.

With large volumes of water when the dish is full, screw the fluff filter back into position and empty the dish before repeating the procedure.

Once the flow of water ceases, remove the fluff filter completely and
clean it.
Remove any foreign bodies (e.g. buttons, coins, etc.) and fluff.
Turn the impeller by hand to check that it is free to rotate. Any foreign objects causing an obstruction should be removed.

Clean the inside of the fluff filter housing. Remove any deposits of lime scale and detergent or foreign bodies from the thread of the filter housing and filter unit (as these objects can cause a leakage
of water). Put the fluff filter back and screw it in firmly.
Cleaning and care

To clean the water inlet filters
The washing machine has two filters to protect the inlet valves. These filters should be checked every 6 months or so, or more often if there are frequent interruptions to the water supply.

To clean the filter in the union in the open end of the inlet hose:
First turn off the stopcock.
Unscrew the threaded union connecting the free end of the inlet hose to the stopcock.
Remove the rubber seal from the recess. Using pointed pliers, take hold of the plastic filter bar, remove the filter and clean.

Put the filter and seal back in the reverse order and reconnect the
hose. Turn on the stopcock and check the connection is watertight.
Inspect the inlet hose which is subjected to high pressure while the machine is in operation. The hose should be replaced if there are small cracks in the surface, or if it has been otherwise damaged.

If replacing the inlet hose only use a hose able to withstand pressure up to 70 bar. Miele's own hoses meet this requirement.

To clean the filter in the water inlet valve:
Using pliers, carefully loosen the ribbed plastic nut on the inlet valve,
and unscrew.
Use water pump pliers to withdraw the plastic filter by the bar.
Clean, put back and secure.
The two filters must be put back in place after cleaning.

Indesit D41 Dishwasher draining problem. the filter on my dishwasher isn't letting through water, I attacked it with a plunger but I don't know how to open it up to unblock it. please help

First check this. Clean the water inlet filter at the tap outlet regularly. - Turn off the water tap. - Unscrew the end of the water inlet hose, remove the filter and clean it carefully under running water. - Replace the filter and screw the water hose back into position.
Then, if needed check this. Cleaning the filters
The filter assembly consists of three filters which remove food residues from the washing water and then recirculate the water. They should be cleaned if you wish to achieve the best results in every wash. Clean the filters regularly. The dishwasher should not be used without filters, or if the filter is loose. After several washes, check the filter assembly and if necessary clean it thoroughly under running water, using a non-metallic brush and following the instructions below: 1. Turn the cylindrical filter C in an anti-clockwise direction and pull it out (fig. 1). 2. Remove the cup filter B by exerting a slight pressure on the side flaps (fig. 2). 3. Slide out the stainless steel plate filter A (fig. 3). 4. Inspect the trap and remove any food residue. NEVER REMOVE the wash cycle pump (black detail) (fig. 4).
Always keep the door of the appliance ajar in order to avoid moisture from forming and being trapped inside the machine. Clean the seals around the door and detergent dispensers regularly using a damp sponge. This will avoid food becoming trapped in the seals, which is the main cause behind the formation of unpleasant odours.
Preventing unpleasant odours
Food residue may become encrusted onto the sprayer arms and block the holes used to spray the water. It is therefore recommended that the arms are checked from time to time and cleaned with a small non-metallic brush. The two sprayer arms may both be removed. To remove the upper sprayer arm, rotate the locking ring in an anti-clockwise direction. The upper sprayer arm should be replaced with the holes facing upwards. The lower sprayer arm can be removed by pressing on the side tabs and pulling it upwards.
Cleaning the sprayer arms
After cleaning the filters, replace the filter assembly and fix it in position correctly; this is essential for maintaining the efficient operation of the dishwasher.
Leaving the machine unused for extended periods
If the water hoses are new or have not been used for an extended period of time, let the water run to make sure it is clear and free of impurities before performing the necessary connections. If this precaution is not taken, the water inlet could become blocked and damage the dishwasher.
Cleaning the water inlet filter*
Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply and shut off the water tap. Leave the door of the appliance ajar.
When you return, run a wash cycle when the dishwasher is empty.
That should cover all your bases

How do i get my filter out of my bush a127ldw washing machine got E03 error am working my way through your list but cant get filter out

Water inlet filters
On the tap part of your machine's water inlet
hose and at the ends of water inlet valves, there
are filters to prevent entrance of the dirt and
foreign materials in the water to the machine. If
the machine is unable to receive sufficient water
although your water tap is fully opened, these
filters should be cleaned.
x Remove the water inlet hose.
x Remove the filters found on the water inlet
valves by using a pincer and wash thoroughly
with a brush. (1)
x Clean the filters of the water inlet hoses
located on the tap side by removing manually
together with the seal. (2)
x After you clean the filters, you can fit them
the same way as you have removed them.

Pump filter
The pump filter system elongates the life of your
pump, which is used to drain the dirty water. It
prevents lint to enter the pump. Cleaning of your
pump filter in every 2-3 months is
recommended. To clean your pump filter:
x Open the kickplate's cover, by pulling the
handle. (2-A & 3-A)
x Before opening the filter cover, place a cup in
front of the filter cover to prevent flow of the
remaining water in the machine.
x Loosen the filter cover by rotating it counter
clockwise and drain the water. (4-A)
x Remove the foreign materials from the filter.
x Check for the rotation of the pump manually.
x After you have cleaned the pump, fit the filter
cover by rotating clockwise.
x Put the kickplate cover into place.
x Do not forget that if you do not fit in the filter
cover properly, it will leak water.

I have a Vicks V3100 and dont know how to put it together or if I even have a filter. I do not know what the filter looks like

There is a Wicking Filter that is also the same media that creates the humidity. This filter looks like rolled up paper media(like for a swamp cooler). This filter installs at the back of the unit with the water resevoir removed. The water then is absorbed by this media and as the air passes through it humidity is released into the air. The Wicking Filter will need to be replaced when the performance of the unit decreases and the material becomes hard from mineral deposits. There is also a Protec Cleaning Cartridge that looks like a small plastic ball with a stem on it. Inside this cartridge are softening agents that remove hard minerals and extend the life of the Wicking Filter. The Cleaning Cartridge is just simply placed inside the water resevoir. To prolong the life of the Wicking Filter and unit make sure to use clean and cool water. Distilled water will work the best if available. The harder the water you use the more the unit will need cleaning due to hard water. When the unit becomes clogged with diposits you will need to run a solution of vinegar and water through the unit to clean it. If you use distilled or filtered water(reverse osmosis) then the unit will rarely need cleaning.

Sometimes water doesn't get hot.

Clean the air filter even if it looks clean. The air filter is located in the front panel(unscrew knob to open door)...filter looked ok to me but cleaned it under water and that fixed the problem. Note: I cleaned the water filter first and that did not solve the problem. A simple test to see if the air filter is the problem...take the panel door off, press the filter door button and test hot water usage.

Cleaning the filter

Here is the link for your manual:
http://www.hunterfanhq.com/hiw-prod/orderinv/frames/ps_frame.htm

How to clean your filter:
The PermaWick™ Filter should be cleaned in a vinegar and water solution to remove any mineral buildup. Place in a solution of one (1) gallon of water and eight (8) ounces of undiluted white vinegar. Allow the filter to soak for 20 minutes.
After soaking, rinse it several times with clean water. Place the PermaWick™ Filter in a location where it can drip dry while you clean the other parts of your humidifier.

They say the frequency that you will have to clean your filter depends on yoru quality of water. The harder the water you have the more you will have to clean it.

Good Luck.
