Should be a coat-hanger type hard steel wire running from lever to move seat to move 2 levers, one on each side of seat and this allows it to travel on a toothed track.  Could just be dirt and stuff lodged in this track.  Move these levers out and seat will move but both levers have to be moved to move seat - if spring is off on one side will only move on one side.  Just reach under with light and manually move these levers and push on seat.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. The passenger seat won’t slide forward and backwards properly. The right side moves but the left does not and the seat tries to rotate any tips?

If they are power seats, there is a small cable the drives the track from the motor under the seat. It is possible that the cable has come off on one side. But it is possible the seat track is broken and will require replacement.

2009 impala driver side power seat won't move up/down, makes whirring sound when attempted. Moves forward backward. Passenger seat works properly.

Before you do any of the expensive things disconnect and reconnect the wiring to the seat I had the same exact problem with my 2009 Chevy Impala and was ready to take it to the dealer when I disconnected the power cables to it and reconnected them I found that one of the Harnesses was loose and the problem was solved

2006 Chrysler Town and Country passenger seat won't move front to back right track seems to be jammed

I have exactly the same problem, and I'm searching for a solution. I think there's just one motor for forward-backward, and mine seems to be operating, because the left (inboard) track moves. The motor seems to have two cables that turn in a shaft from the motor... both of my cables seem to be turning. I think the problem is at the end of the shaft or the track is sticking... I can't move it by hand. Wish I could contact you directly.

Front passenger seat jammed

I would guess that something might be jammed in the tracks or it is an electrical issue. Sometimes the connections to the switches are bad, sometimes the switch itself is bad, and sometimes the moter is burned out. Listen to hear if the motor is running, if so, check the track and see if it is jammed. If you don't hear anything you have some electrical tracking to do.
