I have a friend that has a Grohe Ladylux Cafe Kitchen faucet. It has developed a leak underneath. It is dripping down the flexible line from up in the main faucet area. I am trying to get the faucet out, but can't seem to figure out how to take it out . Is there a special tool or something? What is the actual process for getting it out? Ii am familiar with the types that have a "nut" underneath that you loosen from down below. Any help would be appreciated.

Grohe has a special tool that is used for installation that comes with the faucet. You have to remove the pullout spray and remove the curved neck of the faucet by pulling out. Insert the tool in the main body and tighten from above. Most plumbers will keep this tool when installing. I don't know if Grohe still uses the same system still today, but they did in the past.
check and see if the weight is on the hose going to the handle, also check to see if the hose is free to fall down and that it is not hanging up on piping down under the sink
Best of Luck

If you remove it from the sprayer and then pull it out the bottom it should come out quite easy and you will also need to remove the weight and add it to the new hose after the new one is installed.
If it has a removable aerator screen, remove it and clean it out. If it can't be removed, try soaking the entire head in white vinegar for a couple of hours. You should see a big improvement.
