Sounds like you have had a powersurge during the night.
The power supplies on both units will have to be inspected and repaired. The expense for this type of thing can grow rapidly depending on how much damage has been done.
Check your other appliances and see if they are all OK like the washing machine other tv's etc.
If there was any kind of storm activity during the night it could have also been a lightning strike to the antenna.

May be power supply failure and then maybe cold solder joints...a lot of sanyo's came in the shop that had bad solder joints...we would look for solder joints with a cracked looking ring around them , resolder them, and the set would usually work...you can try to remove the back to gain access to the underside of the board to see if this may be the case...otherwise, it may be a circuit malfunction
Power Supply board is dead.Replaced the power supply board will solved this problems.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply for the replacement.
tv wont turn on when i hit power it makes the clicking noise like it is going to turn on, but never does and the red timer light next to the power button just flashes. help! trinitron kv29f1u only clicks and blinks
no sound, everything was working fine the night before. woke up the next morning, and turned the tv on, and there was no sound at all. nothing from the TV, DVD, and nothing from the Computer. Please help. [email protected].
I was told that these clicking noises (which happen on my Magnavox LCD too) were due to the "power required" at the internal switch. Seems that the power required to immediately turn on the TV is too much for a standalone household outlet, so it "surges" power in a series to get enough there. Hence, the clicking sounds are actually mini power surges to send more power to the internal circuits to turn the TV on.
If your set is like mine, these noises generally stop after a minute or two, correct?
