Hi there,
there might be something in between the door and the ice crusher. If you could check what it is, would be good otherwise call in a repairman to work on this problem.

Most likely the issue is in the door rotary damper (241689301) that actuates the dispenser door flap. You can remove your ice bin and with the door open (holding freezer light switch closed) hit the ice lever and watch to see if the door opens or not from the inside.
The rotary damper is up inside the dispenser housing and should connect to the actual lever you may have to disassemble the dispenser to see it.

Ice maker only makes crushed ice and I want cubes only

You could have a bad augar motor. It will turn one way for crush and the other way cube. that is the moldel with ice bin on door. If you have ice bin in the freezer not on the door. you could have the ice crusher lever jammed. that is the wire lever on the bottom of ice bin. Or the selnoid the moves the lever up thus opening the door and allowing the ice to pass the crushers. hope this helps.

I have a GE Profile refrigerator, Model PFSS6PKWBSS, with icemaker on door. Water is collecting under Deli-draw and leaking down freezer door onto floor. How do I fix leak?

Hi

Try and access the ice dispenser assembly and check from where the water is leaking. You would need to disassemble the ice dispenser and ice maker to check this. The ice dispenser is located in the upper portion of the freezer compartment. This assembly stores ice made by the icemaker and dispenses ice on demand from the door dispenser target switch.
1. Remove the upper ice bucket tray.
2. Slide out the ice dispenser assembly.
3. Remove the ice cube solenoid linkage Phillips head screw and slide the linkage back.
4. Remove the ice crusher cover Phillips head screws (2) and remove the cover.
5. With a pair of pliers, twist off the backing plate tabs located on either side of the crusher.
6. With 2 small flat-blade screwdrivers, unlock the ice crusher locking tabs located at either side of the ice crusher.
7. Lift the ice crusher out of the bucket.
8. Remove the ice crusher back cover.
9. Remove the locking ring from the ice crusher auger.
10. Remove the plastic nut with a pair of pliers by turning it clockwise.
11. Remove the spacers and blades. The blades are numbered for reassembly.

Icemaker--
The icemaker is located in the upper rear of the freezer compartment and supplies ice to the dispenser tub.
1. Disconnect the icemaker cable connector.
2. Remove 1/4-in. icemaker mounting screws and slide out the icemaker.
This refrigerator is equipped with an Electronic Icemaker.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Siemens Refrigerator model KA58NA70NE The ice maker section is not working. Please advice how to fix it.

I had the same problem and fixed it by changing freezer fan found underneath the freezer inside body, just behind the ice delivery/crusher motor. You need to open all the inside upper components like ice dispenser, ice maker, ice crusher motor, lamps assembly and finally the rear upper inside body cover. First, check whether or not the fan has strong air ventilation before trying to change the ice maker fan motor.

Ice maker freezes up

Check to see if your ice door flap is closing each time after you remove your glass of ice. If it is staying open or not closing all the way, then this is your problem. You will need to dismantle the water and ice through the door assembly to see what your problem is. This is pretty involved on most refers and there are too many ways these are built to tell you how without a model number. Be advised that ice build up in the crusher can happen with normal usage and no mechanical problems. If this is just an intermittent problem it is probably caused by a piece of ice jamming your ice door flap open long enough for hot moist air to get into your ice bin and cause it to refreeze as a solid ice mass. When you are done getting ice, reach up inside your door and make sure no ice is stuck in the door. A pain to do, but the alternative is to dump all your ice and clean out your crucher every 1 to 6 months when it occurs. Good Luck Appliance Specialists

Ice crusher don't work

Hi, It sounds like the selonoid that shifts the auger is not working. This part is located behind the panel that the bucket pushes against. The little wire arm on the bucket goes into this. Sometimes they just get froze up from the moister. If you remove the panel/section the selonoid is in, you can see if the part has went bad.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know If I can assist you further.
