I want 2 run exfat pendrive in windows xp

I have kingston 40 gb pendrive its not working in windows xp but it runs in windows 7 it is exfat format when i open this pendrive is opened it says me to format but it cant format pls reply quick

First, your Windows XP must be either SP2 or SP3, and then you must add a patch to it. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955704/en-us that is KB955794 for the patch

I have had this solution many times in the past, unfortunatly there is only one thing you can do...

This is assumeing you are running windows 7.
1. Open Command prompt by searching cmd in the start search aera. Right click on it and press "Run as administrator".
Type in the following - (Replace x with the drive letter that is indicated by windows.)

format x: /U

This will reformat the drive assumeing that there is no damage to the NOR chip and its command block.

normaly your pendrive not formated so cmd (command prompt) use.

Run - cmd (type) than enter

format (pendrive colon) than enter

continue process which computer show
your pendrive is formated.

your pendrive is infected with Autorun.inf virus
to remove this virus install malwarebytes and scan your whole system as well as your pendrive

If the above method is not work

try to format in other operating system like vista or in 7
but not in xp because in vista and 7 you can force format your pendrive..

Your pendrive is infected with Autorun.inf virus
to remove this virus install malwarebytes (It is antimalware software)and scan your whole computer as well as your pendrive when you scaning finish remove all threats

IF the above method is not work

Try to format in other operating system like windows vista or in windows 7 because in vista and 7 you can force format your pendrive

Unable to format 64 gb kingston pen drive

I am having 64 gb kingston pen drive.
But after formatting from command promt its file system is RAW an i cannot use the drive now.
Beacuse it is showing properties as 0 bytes.
The drive cannot be formatted.
