Check high voltage circuit. This is near where the 120 volt cord is plugged in and a high voltage transformer, where there should be capacitor (or two). Check the voltage - should be 390 to 400 volts. If not less than 390, near to replace the capacitor.
The tv was working fine until this morning, then the picture went out but the sound is still working.
TV is only 3 years old, no real electrical problems
there should be other inputs like S-Video or HDMI. To convert the signal-go to E-BAY and type in "RCA to HDMI"(for example). Got my converter cable there for $5.00 while RADIO SHACK wanted $30.00!
When you hit the power button from the console, hod it until it beeps at you twice and it will reset the video settings. I read this on a post from gamespot. I hope it works.
