Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

Control your Digg privacy settings

Like Facebook and many other social networking sites, Digg has several privacy options that (if you don't watch them closely) could allow complete strangers to find out personal information about you. For any web site that you join, it's a good idea to check the privacy settings as soon as your account is created.

When you sign up with Digg, your privacy settings by default are configured so that anyone visiting the site can view your full name, age, gender, and location, and even search for you by your email address. Some users may be okay with giving out all of this information, but many people probably are not (and are likely not even aware that this information has been made public).

To change your privacy settings on Digg, log into your account, go to your profile (click the Profile link along the top) and click the Settings tab under your name. Your basic settings will be listed under Personal Info and Photos, and you can view the Advanced Options by clicking "Show Advanced Options" below the Photos settings.

To make your information as private as possible, choose "Nobody" for each setting -- or, if you want to share some of the information with your friends, you can set it for "My Friends." Look through each of the settings and decide how much of your personal data you want to make public. When you've made all of the changes you want, click the Save Changes button at the bottom to make the changes take effect.

My blog blocked for spam on facebook

Did you try to post in on FB directly and not from digg? if you still get the spam message it's probably due not to the message quantity, but maybe because the url you're trying to post has been blacklisted for some reason. You may also try to use ping.fm service which allows you to post your urls on several social networks automatically
