Sounds Like A Defective Lamp Or Balast Assembly..

Has anything changed with your phone's software? Have you tried deleting and repairing headset?

If you open the boom and long press the multifunction button does the headset light glow steady blue?

It is a little difficult to be certain where the problem is with that description, but at least statistically it is more likely to be in the power board than the main board.

if thats what your dad did, then maybe theres a dry joint on the circuit in side, iv stripped my grandads down and am currently looking fro problems now, will let you know if i find anything.

you need to press and hold the buton until the light stays on to get into pairing mode, when on, go to your phones bluetooth settings, search for bluetooth devices, then when it finds the headset a code will be requested, this is 0000, enter this and the light will flash intermittently telling you its paired with your phone.

you need to depress the button on the headset until the blue light stays continiously on.. then search fro devices from your phone..once the device is found the blue light will flash and blink
