The spin cycle is not working it rotates 3-4 times them stops. I have replaced the brushes but it still doesnt spin. any further ideas??
I have inherited a hoover saver 1300 in new flat, the dials have worn away and it goes onto drying mode after wash, how can i have it on wash and spin only - NO DRYING? Thanks

Happens on wash cycle too - will fill, turn drum, then stop, try to turn, not be able to, so go throuhg the rest of the cycle without any drum motion ineither wash or spin. But I CAN MAKE IT WORK by switching the machine on and off rapidly, and the drum will sometimnes seem to re-engage with the cycle. If it doesn't, the most noticable sign is a very loud whirring from inside the machine. I can do the on/off stuff a couple of times, and the machine will carry on and do a complete cycle without any trouble. The next time the drum may again stop in the wash cycle, and need the switch turning on and off to get it to work.
I have had, intermittently ,had the same problem.
The drum spins a few times at the start of the program where it shouldn't and then at the end but not up to full spin so the clothes end up clean but wet in the drum- will try above
I had thought it was a blockage and took the thing apart, but no apparent blockage, checked the drum rotates ok and the motor seems ok... will try the on off thing....
