All front loading washers will fill and drain multiple times before it finishes. Unlike a top loader, a front loading washer will take longer to run because there is no agitator and will fill with water and drain multiple times. A front loader is more energy efficient than a Traditional top loading washing machine. A washer dryer combo will take hours to complete a cycle.

Adjust the feet underneath slightly, sounds like one of them is barely touching the ground. A wrench or pliers will be required.

That sounds like a failed mechanical timer. Replacing that should solve your problem.

Timer is bad, test and replace timer if needed

I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt

It would not agitate if it were the lid lock, just as agitation should stop when you open the lid during cycles. More likely it's something blocking the drain hose. My whirlpool heavy duty 2 speed 7 cycle washer machine stopped working, It fills up and aggitates for the first cycle then when it should drain and spin it doesnt drain nor spin

when water is turned back on does it run in without turning machine on? if so fill valve is probably bad if overflowing and washer is cut off and water stops suspect water level control
