If you are typing using the touchscreen, the upper-case arrow, touched once, will upper-case the next letter you type and then back to lower case. It you touch the upper-case arrow twice in a row, you should see a green light come on directly over it. That keeps the caps lock on.
If you are using the slide-out keyboard, touch the upper case key once and you should see a triangle underneath the cursor on the screen. That will upper case the next letter you type. To get it to stay in upper case, hit the upper case button again and the triangle should change to a > symbol, point up, underneath the cursor. That should keep it in upper case mode. Don't hold the upper case button down, as that won't do anything. A third press returns it to normal (lower case).

Have entered the proper id and password however won't let me open my e mail

Do you have caps lock on? Are you sure you are putting the correct letters capitalized, or are holding down shift while trying to type numbers. Maybe not holding shift to type characters.

My droid 2 is not recognizing the motorola hs820 bluetooth device; I have no info on how to set the hs820 to pair

I think I can help here:
Make sure your headset and phone are charged before doing anything else. The blue light on your headset will come on when it is charging, and will shut off when fully charged.
To put your headset in pairing mode, make sure it is completely off first (no blinking blue light). Then hold down the Call button for 6-10 seconds until the blue light stays on. (It will likely flash once and shut off, but keep holding until it is all the way on and stays there!)
From there, go into the settings on your Droid 2 and access the bluetooth connections. Do a new scan for your headset if you don't see it listed, pair, and connect!

How do I stop my text from being underlined everytime I type a text message on my Droid X. I know How to clear the underline, but I don't want it underlined in the first place.

I am having the same problem with Droid 2. It is underlining everything I type in an app or text, and I can't make it stop. I know how to lock and unlock caps and alt, but this is not the problem. Already tried removing the battery, but the problem remains. It didn't start doing this until I accidentally pushed several buttons on the bottom left side of the slide out keyboard when I was opening it.

My droid eris will not power on, the screen freezes at the 3 little droid men and won't advance further

Try pulling the battery out for at least 15 seconds and the put it back in and reboot.
If that doesn't work, try resetting it by holding the volume down button and the Send button, then while holding both those buttons, press the End key.
If worse comes to worse, go to the Verizon store and see if they can help.
