Carb switch coil gas,gas lined primer bulb spark plug. Start with carb cleaner in the intake. If it starts move to carb.

What happens if you play with the choke ? does it clear up or change, If it does then it's a fuel problem example : fuel filter, fuel line cracked,dirt in carb. If the choke does'nt make a difference then , try a new spark plug Good Luck, Let me know how you come out 2StrokeJim

your carb kit would be a k20-wat

be sure to get everything in the correct order

ie fuel pump is the side with 1 large screw ,fit the fuel inlet screen fit the diaphram 1st then the gasket and cover

the other side is the metering diaphram , make sure the metering lever is set flush with chamber floor and then fit gasket , then diaphram then the cover

make sure the hi and low needles are back where they came from and set lo and hi to a base setting of 1- 1/4 turns out from lightly seated

The symptom your describing is most often caused by the primer bulb/pump getting a pin hole in it. See this link Item 17: (PN 544363901)

It can however be caused by diaphragms that have failed inside your WYA-79 carb. If you do not have a primer bulb problem the next step is to rebuild the WYA-79 carb with a diaphragm kit.

Dried and cracked fuel lines can cause the same symptom you describe also.

It maybe sounds like you need to replace the fuel lines with some of the new "Tygon" lines which are more ethanol resistant. Check in the fuel tank for the condition of the fuel filter and fuel line that hook onto itl
Cracked and/or old deterioted fuel lines will leak air, causing loss of prime. Sometimes as they deteriorate, remnants of them end up in the fine mesh fuel strainer screen on the fuel pump side of the carb, restricting fuel flow inside the carb and causing your problem. Take off the cover to the carb that doesn't have the vent-hole in it's top. That is the fuel pump side...look at the carb body under the fuel pump diaghram and you will see the round fine-mesh fuel strainer; It is press into place in the carb body but can be removed with a fine, sharp object. Check there and maybe go to the small engine parts shop and ask for about a foot of each of the 2 diameter fuel lines you will be replacing.
A carburetor diaghram kit or rebuild kit may be needed also and there are many for sale on Ebay....you need to know your carb model though.

clean the carburetor. if the diaphras in the carb feel stiff id get a carb kit. also check the fuel filter as well.

You can get those online. Take the carb off and clean is so you can see the name and model of the carb. Once you have that, just go online and find the part. I sometimes use jackssmallengines.com. I get the correct part in a timely manner. Good luck...Lee
