My GE Security DVMRe-16CT-1000 16-CHANNEL I power

My GE Security DVMRe-16CT-1000 16-CHANNEL I power up the unit and all the lights on the front panel come on and stay on. It hangs at the boot up screen just after it finds the hard drives. I cannot access it through the Wave reader software either.

If memory serves me correct, most of the GE/Truvision etc. DVRs have to be sent back in for the password to be defaulted. I may be incorrect on this, will double check.

Intaller code

The factory default code to reset the system is 8111, however this will reset all program functions back to the factory settings, with the exception of the time and date. The default Operator code to use the system is enter, enter, enter, enter. This should allow you to operate the system.

Help me!

I have strongly recommended that change your power supply with the same specification voltage and amp. I have installed so many GE DVR's most of DVR's restart when the power supply is not working properly or HDD have bad sectors. I also recommend use the scan disk on you HDD for proper checking of your HDD.
