Please be noted that your phone memory should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.
Maybe this article on Android phone data recovery could give you some help. deleted files are actually recoverable only if the deleted data are not overwritten, i.e. do not save data to the place where your deleted data once stayed. You might find a better understanding of how to recover deleted files from android in this article that I readhttp://www.card-data-recovery.com/android-data-recovery.html

Check in your phone manual what file formats your phone supports. You could be stroing invalid file formats. Failing this check you're saving the files in the right place. Hope this helps!
When you insert your usb cable to your phone, is it give you phone and file transfer mode. If yes then reinstall pc suite. If no then your usb cable is defective or usb port to computer is properly connected.

This is not the result of a virus but rather a software corruption. Try taking out the battery overnight. If that doesn't help then yu need to get your phone's software flashed.
Sorry but you cannot install .sis files on a W550i as they are symbian and the W550i does not support symbian, the W550i does support .jar files though.
1. Connect your W550i phone to your PC using the USB cable. 2. Use it in File transfer mode. 3. Go to it's Others folder on the Memory Stick that just appeared over at the My computer screen. (probably called PHONE_CARD or something similar). 4. Copy the .jar files from your PC to the Others folder on the phone's stick.
5. Disconnect your phone properly (safely remove hardware) and allow it to restart or return to Phone Mode.
6. Go to your files on your phone (File Manager) and go to Others. Select the file, click Install.
7. It'll ask where you want to install the file, either in the Applications folder or the Games folder.
