I accidentally took my phone in the sauna after working out... it will work sometimes and then the screen goes blank.. it is still on I just cant do anything with it without the screen working

did you get your phone wet? same thing used to happen to my samsung prevail when i accidentally dropped it in a bucket full of water, after maybe 3 days of it doing that (showing logo, then black screen) it finally died, i put a brand new and charged battery but it didn't work, my friend who works for sprint, told me smart phones sometimes "burn out" meaning they overheat and eventually give out... Well it depends on the type of screen you have in the phone. Some have edges that can split open and lose the fluid that projects the picture so your best bet is to just replace the phones screen, if every thing else works fine

same problem, broke my screen, ordered a new screen off ebay and replaced it. now it works fine most of the time but sometimes external display freezes. sometimes goes black, sometimes goes multicolor pixelated (full screen, in blocks, or lines) when this happens sometimes touchpad still works, others not. removing battery usualy temporarily fixes.

i cant think of any reason may be some "bug" in the set...........

Try pressing Fn-F4 a couple times. Sometimes people accidentally enable the external screen and disable the internal one. If this doesn't work, try plugging an external screen in. If the external works then you might have a dead display.
