Upon turning tv on after it's been off for a while i get two lines going from top to bottom of the screen. theres a line on the left side about 2 inches in from the left thats red and about 3 mm wide and theres a few on the right about the same distance in but they're thinner and spread apart but yellow in colour. after about 10 minutes these lines go restoring normal viewing. whats causing this and will this get worse as time goes on

If it is still under warranty, take it back ASAP. The panel could be failing, TAKE IT BACK

I believe that tv is about 10 years old. The best solution and probably most cost effective is to replace it.

This is obviously a defect. The camera warranty should be used in this case.

The panel is almost certainly bad. The only fix for this is to replace the whole panel which would cost more than the whole TV.
