The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use the software you received with the camera.

How to transfer photos taken by an Olympus Camedia C-1000 L to a computer?

To transfer photos taken by an Olympus Camedia C-1000L camera to a computer, you can use the following method:
  1. Connect the camera to the computer using a USB cable.
  2. Turn on the camera and set it to the "PC" or "Computer" mode.
  3. On your computer, a new drive or a pop-up window should appear, indicating that the camera has been recognized.
  4. Open the drive or window and navigate to the folder where your photos are stored.
  5. Select the photos you want to transfer and copy them to your computer by using drag and drop or "Copy" and "Paste" functions.
Alternatively, you can use the Olympus Camedia Master software that came with the camera to transfer photos. Once connected and the software is open, you will be able to see the camera's content, then you can select and transfer the photos to your computer.
It's important to keep in mind that the Olympus Camedia C-1000L is an older model camera, which may not be compatible with the latest version of computer operating systems, so it's recommended to check the software and the operating system compatibility before transferring the photos.

I want to transfer my photos to my lap top

You need the cord that came w/ the camera. Plug the tiny end into your camera and plug the USB end into your running laptop. Your operating system should show a pop up asking what you want to do; select transfer pictures from camera to computer. This will bring up an explorer window showing the camera as a drive on your computer. Just transfer files were you want to on your computer.

How can i put back photo from my computer to my ge e1450w camera?

Use a card reader to transfer photos from your computer to your camera.

The camera is intended to take photos for eventual transfer to a computer. It is not really designed to go the other way. Thus you'll need to use another device (such as a card reader) to go the other way.

Bear in mind that if the photos were taken with a different camera, or have been edited in any way, the camera may not display them. Opening a photo in a photo editing program on a computer and saving it without making any changes counts as editing.

I have taken some new photos on my camera but when I have connected it up to the pc to transfer the photos it keeps saying no new picutures or video were found on this device

TRANSFERRING PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

THE PICTURES ARE TOO HIGH IN RESOLUTIONS FOR MY REAL ESTATE BROKER FOR THE E-MAIL

That's a rare complaint; it's more often that the pictures don't have enough resolution.

If the pictures have already been taken and transfered to your computer, you can shrink them using just about any photo editing software. On a Windows machine, for example, both Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Live Photo Gallery have the ability to resize pictures for e-mail.

In the future, if you know you're only going to e-mail the pictures, you might wish to consider setting your camera to shoot smaller pictures. You didn't specify the model of your camera, but most compact cameras have an e-mail setting that takes pictures 640x480 or thereabouts. Smaller pictures also download faster to your computer.

Down loading to lap top

After a couple years of use, neither of my computers will recognize my G6. This is the second G6 I've had with this problem. Canon replaced the first camera with a new one. I have just returned from a trip, and don't know how to get the photos transferred, before I send it back to Canon. Would appreciate any helpful information. Thanks.
