Hi,
it sounds like your printer cannot translate the the graphics being sent from your computer.
It may be that one of your printer settings is not set correctly.
Or, it may be as simple a solution as updating your driver for your printer.
Try here for a driver for Laserjet P2055D:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3662055&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3662052&lang=en&cc=us

If this is not your model, search for your specific model on this HP website.
Note there are also firmware upgrades for the P2055D printer.
Cheers,
Steve

PRINTING WINGDINGS WHEN I PRINT PDF FILES

Adobe PDF reader tends to print webdings/wingdings in its version 8 incarnation. Download FOXIT reader free from filehippo.com and try to print your document from that instead of Adobe. This nearly always fixes the problem. antosarmy

Hp laserjet 3600 PCL XL error when printing a PDF

This is a known issue with 'host-based' printers like the 3600. You need the PCL5 driver, which this printer will not work with. You need a different printer, such as the HP 3520.

This page will explain it all.

Won's print pdf files

Trouble with the HP Laserjet printed output may be solved by using the following settings (or similarly named ones): "Use raster Graphics" (instead of "Use vector graphics"). This may fix the problem of "reversed" text (white on black background) not printing, as well as other problems. "Download TrueType Fonts as bitmap soft fonts" (select "bitmap" instead of "outline" or "graphics"). This may remove the overlapping of text on the printed document. "Graphics dithering" select "coarse" or "fine" (instead of "none"). This selection may improve the quality of images contained in the document. You can find all these settings in your printer properties. Go to File, Print, click Preferences, in Printing Preferences, click one by one all the top options, and change one of the top solutions, one at the time, checking your printing output. Always check if you have the latest version of Adobe Reader Program. If not download the latest version from Adobe, it's free. Is this the first time that you have the problem? or with the same printer (HP 4si), did you were able to print PDF files in the past?
